Kids' Easter Party

On April 5th The Mustard Seed is holding its annual Easter Eggstravaganza party for the children of the community. You can help make this day special by donating 200 uncooked, frozen hamburger patties. Or make a cash donation towards the purchase of the hamburgers. Please call 780-426-5600 for more information.

Hockey Equipment Needed!

The Mustard Seed has started a weekly community hockey game which is becoming increasingly popular! For this event, we are in need of:

Men’s adult-sized skates,

Adult-sized helmets,

Adult-sized Hockey sticks & gloves.

The Mustard Seed is in urgent need of gloves. It is the most requested item right now and we have none to give out. You can help by dropping off gloves at our main building, 10635 - 96 Street, or calling 780-426-5600 to make a donation towards the purchase of gloves.

Educational Event

Introduction to Correctional Ministries For anyone interested in volunteering in The Mustard Seed's correctional programs but wants to learn more, or anyone new to volunteering in this area who has not attended one of these sessions. Going to Costco?

The Mustard Seed is hosting a Men's Day: haircuts, beard trims, movie and lunch for the men of our community.

You can help by donating frozen prepared chicken wings, Doritos, salsa, sour cream, cheese and pop. So if you're already going to Costco, why not pick up some of these items and drop them off at 10635 - 96 Street?

AM930 The Light & 105.9 ShineFM are raising money for The Mustard Seed at the 7th annual radiothon!

Trick or Treat!

The Mustard Seed Edmonton is hosting a Costume Party on October 31st and you can help us out by providing candy for us to hand out. It can be as simple as picking up a tub of candies the next time you go grocery shopping and dropping off your donations at 10635 - 96 Street. If you have any questions, please call 780-426-5600.

SEWING MACHINES

WE NEED SEWING MACHINES! The Mustard Seed Edmonton is excited by the prospect of a new volunteer who wants to lead a small sewing group made up of people from our community. She will offer sewing lessons and as a group they will be sewing cloth bags. These cloth bags will be used in the Personal Assistance Centre instead of reusing plastic grocery bags thus reducing garbage in our neighbourhood. The small group would also perform simple clothing repairs and alterations for their fellow community members. Do you have a sewing machine that you're not using anymore, or were you planning on upgrading and would be willing to give us your old sewing machine? Please call The Mustard Seed at 780-426-5600 if interested.

The Mustard Seed needs blankets

The Mustard Seed is completely out of blankets to give to those in need. Do you have any blankets around the house that you’re not using? Would you like to make a difference for someone who is experiencing poverty? Then gather your extra blankets and drop them off at The Mustard Seed (10635 – 96 Street). Your donation will keep someone warm tonight.

Summer outings

One of The Mustard Seed's summer initiatives is to take community members for a weekly outing.
You can help by donating gift cards from the following establishments: Tim Hortons, McDonalds,Starbucks, Movie tickets, Cultural tickets, such as The Citadel, Winspear, plays at The Fringe, Taste of Edmonton, Heritage Days, IMAX (Telus World of Science).
